Abstract:
On May 11, 2017, the Jamaican Bar Association obtained an expedited hearing of its appeal of the Constitutional Court’s decision to deny its challenge to the 2013 amendments to the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).  In April, the Constitutional Court upheld the application of POCA to lawyers, denying the challenge of the Jamaican Bar Association (JBA).
