Abstract: 
On September 29, 1988, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit handed down a decision in the case of M.A. A26 85 1062 v. U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service that significantly assists asylum applicants from El Salvador.  The case overturns the December 28, 1987 decision of the Board of Immigration Appeals entitled Matter of A.G.
