Abstract:
On June 12, 1986, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee by a 15 to 2 vote approved a Protocol to the United States-United Kingdom Extradition Treaty. The hotly disputed Protocl amends and narrows the political exception to extradition, so that it becomes easier for the United Kingdom to successfully extradite from the U.S. persons charged with terrorism crimes.
