Abstract: 

 The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Maritime Bureau’s (IMB) latest annual report for 2013 on Piracy and Armed Robbery Against Ships recorded a total of 264 incidents (both actual and attempted attacks) worldwide. This is down markedly from the 297 incidents reported for the previous year 2012.[2]
