On May 7, 2013, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that two employees of a U.S. broker-dealer and a senior official in Venezuela’s state economic development bank have been charged in New York’s federal court for their alleged roles in a massive international bribery scheme in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).[1]
