Abstract:
On June 18, 1990, in a five to zero unanimous decision (Lord Templeman), the Lords of the Juridical Committee of the Privy Council dismissed the appeal of an extradition order for Junious C. Morgan. Morgan was charged in the United States District Court for the Southern District of possessing with intent to distribute 453 pounds of marijuana. In 1986, after he fled to Jamaica, he was convicted in absentia, but his sentence was postponed.
