Abstract:
On July 5, 1991, France signed the European Laundering Convention, brining the number of signatory States to thirteen. On November 8, Finland, ireland, and Switzerland also declared that they  would sign the Convention "at an early date." This is expected to occur soon.  A number of States are presently engaged in legislative work to enable them to ratify the Convention in the near future.
