UN Council Enhances Sanctions against Libya for Failure to Extradite Suspects in Lockerbie Case

On November 11, 1993, the Security Council voted by a vote of 11 to 0 to strengthen trade sanctions against Libya to persuade the latter to extradition the two suspects in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flights 103 over Lockerbie Scotland.
