OECD Releases MOU on Harmful Tax Practices

Abstract: 
On November 23, 2000, the Commonwealth Secretariat announced that high-level multilateral talks on harmful taxation practices are to be held in Barbados on January 9 to 10, 2001. The announcement explained that this decision was taken after consultations between the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Government of Barbados. The meeting, which will be chaired by Barbados Prime Minister Owen Arthur, will provide a forum for multilateral dialogue between the OECD and other jurisdictions on harmful tax practices.
