Abstract: 
In the aftermath of the peace in Kosovo, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia has sent staff and investigators to Kosovo to start war crimes investigation. In addition, the ICTY is relying heavily on national investigators. Simultaneously, discussions are ongoing about the status of prisoners taken from Kosovo during the pull out by Serb authorities to Serbia.
