New Dominican Republic Government Allows New York City Police Department to Establish Office in Santo Domingo and Strengthen Cooperation with Puerto Rico

In early November 1996, the Caribbean media reported that the New York City police department will establish an office in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, to coordinate the capture and return of persons accused of crimes and are fugitives from justice in New York City.
