Abstract:

On January 22, 2012, the Canadian government detained Russian Marina Talashkova, an air-hostess with the Trans Air airline, for violating immigration law.  Instead of deporting her to Russia, Canadian authorities detained her on an extradition warrant from the U.S.[1]
