The United States indicted a Swiss banker, Hansruedi Schumacher, and a Swiss attorney, Matthias Rickenbach, for conspiring to defraud the U.S. (18 USC 371), on August 20, 2009, one day after the settlement in the UBS case was announced by the U.S. and Swiss Governments and UBS.
