On January 8, 2015, Kam Wing Chan, the owner of Kaven Company, Inc. (“Kaven”), was arraigned in the U.S. District Court in San Diego on charges concerning the smuggling from Mexico of millions of dollars in endangered abalone, sea cucumber and Totoaba into San Diego.
