Abstract:
On January 19, 1987, the press widely reported that the United States filed papers with the West German government requesting the extradition of Mohammed Ali Hamadei, a Lebanese Shiite Moslem, wanted in connection with an indictment for crimes allegedly committed during the 1985 TWA passenger plane hijacking to Beirut.  Ali Hamadei was arrested on January 13, 1987 at the Frankfurt airport for allegedly carrying a concealed explosive liquid.
