Abstract: 
On January 28, 1994, the Mexican Government extradited Juan Antonio "Tony" Ortiz to the U.S. to stand charges in Houston. In May 1993 Mexican authorities arrested Ortiz, who is 40 years old, after he was indicted on federal drug trafficking and money laundering charges in Houston. Upon his extradition, he was scheduled to go to trial on March 15, 1994.
