Abstract:
On June 16, 2009, the United States Department of State published and released its ninth annual Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP) through the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. In the report, the human trafficking situations in 173 nations were described in detail. Human trafficking is defined as “obtaining or maintaining the labor or services of another through force, coercion, and, in effect, modern slavery.”...(more)
