Abstract: 
On February 17, 1994, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida sentenced a prominent Bahamian attorney, F. Nigel Bowe, and closed a chapter in one of the most controversial matters during the last decade between the U.S. and the Bahamas. After U.S. prosecutors indicted Bowe in 1985, they vigorously prosecuted their extradition request in the Bahamas, including adjudicating the case to the Privy Council in England and spending more than $1 million to win the case.
