Abstract: 
On January 26 2006, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency announced the arrest of eight person in Bogotá, Colombia whose extradition the U.S. government has requested as part of an operation targeting a false-passport ring. The eight arrestees – seven Colombians and one Palestinian – were part of 19 persons arrested in 32 simultaneous raids across Bogotá. Authorities seized what they believe were fraudulent passports from Hong Kong, Canada, Jordan and other countries.
