Abstract:
Following a report and then a conference November 17-19, 1997, the United States Government seems poised to undertake an initiative on enhanced multilateral drug control cooperation. The initiative will have five components: (1) demand reduction; (2) supply reduction; (3) regional and multilateral interdiction; (4) strengthened democratic institutions; and (5) the structures, authorities, and funding of multilateral organizations.
