Abstract:
On January 16, 2004, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officials announced a massive international effort to close an international heroin trafficking operation between Cali, Colombia and the U.S., netting eleven arrests in the U.S. and South America and the seizure of 1.7 pounds of heroin. Before the most recent law enforcement efforts, the law enforcement called Operation Streamline resulted in the arrests of 17 persons and seizure of 108 pounds of heroin.
