U.S. Appellate Court Affirms Designation of Al Haramain Islamic Foundation - Oregon

On September 23, 2011, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed the U.S. government’s designation of Al Haramain Islamic Foundation, Oregon (AHIF-Oregon) as a “specially designated global terrorist” pursuant to Executive Order (“EO”) No. 13,224. In 2004, the Office of the Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) froze AHIF-Oregon’s assets and designated it as “a specially designated global” terrorist.
