Abstract:
On May 18, 2006, U.S. Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales announced new anti-methamphetamine partnerships between the U.S. and Mexico and domestic initiatives to combat meth trafficking at the National Methamphetamine and Chemicals Initiative (NCMI) Strategy Conference in Dallas, Texas. Joined by Mexican Attorney General Daniel Cabeza De Vaca, Gonzales discussed Department of Justice (DOJ)-led initiatives targeting improved enforcement, increased law enforcement training, improved information sharing, and increased public awareness.
