In March 1999, two important developments occurred in international anti-trust enforcement: on March 14, 1999, the U.S. and Israel concluded an enforcement agreement; and on March 2, 1999, the U.S. announced guilty pleas by a Swiss company and five U.S. executives in a worldwide vitamins price fixing conspiracy.
