U.S. and French Futures Regulators Sign Agreements on Mutual Assistance and Mutual Recognition

On June 6, 1990, the United States and France signed two agreements, the Administrative Agreement on Enforcement Matters and the Agreement on Mutual Recognition, which provide the most comprehensive structure of information sharing and cooperation achieved thus far between financial regulatory authorities.
