UN Rwandan Tribunal and Local Courts Struggle to Try Suspects

Both the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) and the Rwandan local courts are struggling to meet their goals of adjudicating the cases on their dockets. In its annual report the ICTR has said, if it is not funded properly, it will not meet its goal set by the UN Security Council to complete all trials by 2008.
