In the aftermath of Mumbai terrorist attacks on November 26, 2008, the United Nations Security Council has imposed sanctions against Pakistan-based Jamaat-ud-Dawa, calling it a front organization for the militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, which India says is responsible for the Mumbai attacks.
