Abstract:
On March 29, 2013, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) by a vote of 154 in favor, 3 against and 23 abstentions. [1] It sets international standards for convention weapons sales for the first time, linking them to the prevention of war crimes, the protection of civilians, and respect for human rights.[2]
