Abstract:
On January 15, 2002, the media reported Timothy Workman, the British magistrate has said he will set a new bail hearing next month if U.S. authorities do not submit firm evidence linking him to terrorism and set February 12, 2002 as the first formal extradition hearing for Lotfi Raissi. During the February 12, 2002 hearing, U.S. officials, through its British counsel, will present evidence to support the extradition request. Mr. Raissi’s counsel claims prosecutors have not presented evidence to support their allegation that Mr. Raissi had links to Hani Hanjour, the hijacker suspected of being at the helm of Flight 77.
