Abstract:
A May 10, 2006 decision at London’s Bow Street Magistrates’ Court appears to clear the way for the U.S. extradition request for Gary McKinnon, a U.K. citizen. McKinnon, 40, is sought by the U.S. for allegedly accessing 92 computers at various U.S. military sites in 2001 and 2002. If further defense challenges fail and McKinnon is extradited to the United States, he could face up to 70 years in prison.
