On April 26, 2017, the media disclosed a confidential letter from the British High Commissioner in Ghana, John Benjamin, to the Speaker of the Parliament in Ghana, Aaron Mike Oquaye, accusing three current Members of Parliament (MP) in Ghana and one former MP in Ghana, of fraudulently obtaining visas to the United Kingdom (U.K.) through the use of their diplomatic passports.
