Abstract: 
Two bills that would tighten significantly migration enforcement are flying through the U.S. Congress and reflect the global trend to simultaneously strengthen borders, criminalize illegal entry and raise the penalties for such entry. The two bills are H.R. 1915, "Immigration in the National Interest" and S.269, the "Immigrant Control and Financial Responsibility Act of 1995."...(more)
