Abstract: 
On October 5, 2011, an indictment was returned in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia against Mohamad Anas Haitham Soueid, for conspiring to act and acting as an agent of the Syrian government in the U.S. without registering, as required by the Foreign Agents Registration Act, two counts of providing false statements on a firearms purchase form, and two counts of providing false statements to federal law enforcement.
