Abstract: 
On May 7, 1986, the Swiss Supreme Court decided the issue of whether a pending foreign criminal investigation and a pending extradition request can be request can be precluded by the iniation of a Swiss criminal investigation which in turn might pose an obstacle to granting extradition.  The Court found that with exceptions, both are not mutually exclusive.
