On February 6, 2008, the Swiss government agreed to freeze accounts in UBS banks of former Haitian dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier (“Baby Doc”) pursuant to an injunction obtained from a Swiss court and thereafter a temporary government extension of the freeze. According to a press report, Mark Henzelin, lawyer for two plaintiffs – a priest and a taxi driver – said he obtained the sequestration of the funds in Basel, Switzerland in early January 2008.
