Abstract:
On July 2, 1986, the Swiss Federal Court, the highest court of the Swiss Confederation, remanded in part a decision of the Swiss Federal Office for Police Matters (BAP) which granted an Italian request for funds held in Switzerland by an Italian fugitive.  The decision is significant because the court further defined the limits of judicial assistance in criminal matters.
