On May 2, 1996, Judge Danie Oberholzer in Johannesburg, South Africa issued an order denying an extradition request by the United States government for the extradition of Paul Grecian, a former British spy whose extradition was requested in connection with charges of selling illegal arms to Iraq before the Persian Gulf war.
