  On December 9, 2016, Samuel Mebiame, 43, a Gabonese national and son of a former Prime Minister of Gabon, pled guilty in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York to conspiring to make corrupt payments to government officials in three African countries, in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
