Abstract:
On April 7, 2017, Acting Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Michael S. Piwowar announced that, as a result of a final judgment declaring an SEC rule requiring reporting concerning conflict minerals unconstitutional, the SEC would prepare new rule and would not counsel in favor of enforcing the current rule. On April 7, 2017, the SEC Division of Corporation Finance issued a statement that it will not enforce the rule.
