Abstract:
Eleven Romanian stowaways arrived on June 8, 1994 in Boston seeking political asylum. This is the second time this year that Romanian stowaways attempted to entered the U.S. in this manner, both times boarding in Le Havre and hiding in containers owned by Orient Overseas Container Line. As with their prior comrades, the stowaways were immediately taken into custody by INS.
