Abstract:
At a conference held November 29 through December 1, 1994, the participants in the Council of Europe Conference on Money Laundering in States in Transition adopted the following conclusions and Recommendations of the General Rapporteur. The Recommendations are intended to promote some measures which need to be taken into account in order to combat money laundering effectively. For implementation of such measures it is referred to the Council of Europe Convention 1990, the Convention of the United Nations 1988, the Directive of the European Community 1991 and the 40 Recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The Conference agreed that this document should be sent to the European Committee on Crime Problems (CDPC) and that its Recommendations should be brought to the attention of the Committee of Ministers...(more)
