Panamanian Attorney General Rogelio Cruz rejected a U.S. extradition request against Ramon Tejada Alvarez, known as ‘El Viejo’, a Colombian citizen who is wanted by the U.S. government on charges of drug trafficking. Cruz said that the specific legal reason for the denial of the request is that Tejada is also facing charges of international drug trafficking in Panama.
