Abstract:
In a letter dated January 21, 1987, to J.J. Pickle (D. Tex.), Chairman, Subcommittee on Oversight, House Ways & Means Committee, and Dan Rostenkowski (D-Ill), Chariman of the Full Committee, requested that the Subcommittee examine the overall U.S. policy objectives for entering into tax treaties and the consistency of the terms in such treaties with the U.S. tax laws.
