Abstract: 
During its General Assembly in Belem, Brazil, that started on June 5, 1994, the Organization of American States considered a proposal to form a working group to prepare model legislation against corruption. Building on previous OAS meetings, the Chilean Government has initiated the anti-corruption project stating that the majority of the countries in the hemisphere are undergoing a process of modernization of the state, which implicates the improvement of political and administrative institutions, making them more efficient and transparent.
