Abstract:
On August 30, 2016, the second day of his appellate hearing to challenge a lower court judgment authorizing his extradition to the United States, Internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom won his request to have the legal proceedings against him and three fellow website executives livestreamed on YouTube for the world to see. This ruling represents the first time a New Zealand court case is being broadcast in its entirety on the Internet.
