Abstract: 
On January 29, 2005, U.S. officials announced an agreement with the Mexican government to extradite Augustín Vásquez Mendoza, a Mexican national suspected of conspiring to murder an undercover U.S. drug agent in Arizona in 1994. In July 20, 2000, 2004, Mexican authorities arrested Vásquez Mendoza in Puebla, Mexico while U.S. officials sought him on charges that he ordered the killing of Richard Fass, 37, a drug agent who tried to purchase 22 pounds of methamphetamine from three associates of Mr. Vásquez in Glendale, Arizona.
