Abstract:
From March 25 to April 12, 1996, the Preparatory Committee (PREPCOM) on the Establishment of an International Criminal Court (ICC) met at the United Nations Headquarters for its first session. Its second session will be from August 12 to 30, 1996. The PREPCOM was set up by the General Assembly Resolution 50/46 of December 11, 1995, to continue the work accomplished by the ad hoc working group on the ICC in 1995. The PREPCOM was open to all States Members of the UN as well as members of the specialized agencies or of the IAEA.
