 Inspired by the report and hearings of the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations on wrongdoing by Credit Suisse, with respect to offshore tax evasion by United States taxpayers, the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) has opened a civil investigation of Credit Suisse.[1]
