Abstract:
On January 30, 2012, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) concluded an agreement with two Japanese companies to settle a charge of price-fixing and bid-rigging conspiracy. The two companies, Yazaki Corporation and DENSO Corporation, supplied automotive electrical components to car manufacturers.  From 2000 to 2010, the corporations conspired together in a variety of schemes to fix their prices at certain levels and to inflate the price of their products through coordination with one another.
