On May 1, 2014, the International Criminal Court (ICC, or the Court) issued a statement in which the Prosecutor – on behalf of the Court – wrote that, upon consultation with the Court’s registrar, she decided to dismiss the request for opening the investigation into the situation in Egypt.[2]
